Indulge in special menus, events and live entertainment at Basilico Ristorante Italiano, located in Southwest Las Vegas.

The weather is warming up and Basilico has prepared an array of special menus and live music for newcomers and regulars to enjoy. From in-house live music to the Evora amphitheater, and a delicious Mother’s Day tasting menu to a “Tour of Italy” regional tasting menus, members of the Southwest Las Vegas community and nearby are sure to enjoy all that Basilico has to offer for the month of May. “Tour of Italy” Regional Tasting Menu

Prepare to embark on a culinary journey throughout a variety of destinations in Italy with region-focused tasting menus starting on Wednesday, May 8 lasting throughout the Spring and Summer season. For the month of May, diners can order from a tasting menu focused on Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna. Each menu is priced at $59 per person with the final menu, “Best of Italy,” being a compilation of dishes from the previous tasting menus. See more details on the tasting menus for May below:

 

Lombardia (offered May 8 – 19):

First Course

·    Bresaola Carpaccio compiled with cured beef, melon, mozzarella cheese and micro basil

·    Mondeghili, a pan fried Milanese style meatball with a mustard dip

Second Course

·    Strangolapreti made with spinach-bread gnocchi, butter, sage and duck reduction

·    Risotto made with saffron and licorice

Third Course

·    Ossobuco made with polenta and gorgonzola cheese

Fourth Course:

·    Salame al Cioccolato compiled of decadent chocolate and nuts

 

Emilia-Romagna (offered May 22 – June 2):

First Course

·    Tagliere Di Salumi E Formaggi, an imported cold cuts and cheeses board with gnoccho fritto and a lambrusco-onion marmalade

Second Course

·    Lasagna Verde made with bolognese, bechamel and parmigiano

·    Tagliatelle made with ham, peas, mushrooms and a parmigiano sauce

Third Course

·    Brasato made with braised short rib, potato puree, spring vegetables and balsamico

Fourth Course

·    Torta Barozzi, a rich chocolate-almond cake

 

Mother’s Day “Viva La Mamma” Tasting Menu

Treat mom to a special Mother’s Day celebration by taking her out for lunch or dinner to Basilico. On Sunday, May 12, with special hours of 12 – 8 PM, Basilico is offering a one-day only tasting menu in honor of Mother’s Day created by Chef Francesco Di Caudo, priced at $79 per person. First Course

·    Peruvian Scallops made with mandarinquat jam and a calamansi-butter sauce

·    Belgium Endive made with pecans, green apple, strawberry, crab with a guanciale dressing

·    Spring Vegetable Filled Zucchini Flower made with a tomato relish and ricotta espuma

Second Course

·    Truffle Ricotta Gnocchi made with corn and lobster

·    Oxtail and Mushroom Lasagna made with a sunchokes bechamel sauce

·    Paccheri made with zucchini and caciocavallo

Third Course

·    Seared Mediterranean Sea Bass made with artichokes carpaccio, mussels and a mint salsa verde

Fourth Course

·    Strawberry Orange Tiramisu

 

“Rock N Wine” Event

Presenting Basilico’s first ever Wine Walk, “Rock N Wine,” on Saturday, May 25th from 5 – 8 PM. This whimsical night will be full of extravagant wine tastings from 15+ vendors, live entertainment by “Clean Heart” a tribute band to Sade from 6 – 8 PM and a $25 food credit to redeem at Basilico the same night.

 

Guests can expect to wine taste from brands such as Summit Spirits & Wine, Trinchero Family Estates, Gérard Bertrand, Roth Estate, Juliet, Aperol, Ferrari Carano Vineyards and Winery, Ceretto, Torre Rosazza, Terras Gauda, Iron + Sand, Famiglia Cotarella, Tenuta Ulisse, Lucien Albrecht, Niner Wine Estates and V8+ Vineyards.

Live Music

Prepare for the harmonious tunes and voices of Basilico’s live entertainment, held in-restaurant, every Thursday – Saturday from 6 – 9 PM. This month’s lineup includes performances by Brianna Alomar, Cali Tucker, Nevena Dadd, Monreau, Shawn Silva, Serena Isabelli, Sarah Moore, Michael Ross Nugent and John Jones.

 

However, on Friday, May 10, from 8 – 9:30 PM, join Basilico at the Evora amphitheater for a complimentary performance by Lady Winehouse, a tribute artist to Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse. This free-of-charge concert is open to the public and guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to comfortably enjoy the show outdoors. Guests are welcome to dine at Basilico before the show and can book a reservation at this link.
