Fresh Offerings Include Savory Dumplings, Noodles, Sushi, More
Redesigned Kaia Boasts Rich Color Scheme with
Earthy Fixtures, Playful Décor
Kaia, an Asian eclectic eatery, inside AREA15 unveils an expanded new menu of Asian-inspired cuisine appealing to a variety of tastes and discerning palates. Renowned for its exceptionally fresh flavors, the latest offerings crafted by chef Yoshi Tuaolo include savory dumplings, aromatic noodles, build-your-own sushi bowls, sushi handrolls and more. Kaia is among AREA15’s numerous choices of restaurants, bars and lounges, including The Beast, Conduit Café, Dream Weaver Milk & Boba Bar, LIFTOFF Bar and Ride, Lumin Café, Oddwood, Asylum Bar + Arcade and more.
The newly redesigned Kaia eatery also exudes an intimate atmosphere with its richer color scheme and Asian-inspired designs. Earthy wood fixtures add a natural touch, while whimsical golden rabbits and a collection of vinyl collectables curated by fan-favorite Superplastic, all available for purchase, inject playful charm and interactive elements into the sophisticated setting.
Originally from Kailua, Hawaii, chef Tuaolo has worked in countless restaurants and resorts in Oahu, Japan, California and Las Vegas. Prior to AREA15, he worked at Ota, Nobu, Wakuda and Katsuya. He also served as head sushi chef at FUHU inside Resorts World Las Vegas.
New starters on the menu include the Omega Poke and Chili Crunch Shrimp Wontons. Expertly steamed and pan-fried dumplings feature a variety of succulent fillings including Pork Soup, Pork Shu Mai, Shrimp Shu Mai, BBQ Pork Steamed Buns and Vegetable Pot Stickers.
Standout mains include This Salmon Does Not Exist made with beet-cured salmon, spring mix salad and a yuzu kosho sauce; The Spine crafted with both spicy tuna and seared tuna, avocado and house yuzu aioli; and the Oddwood Noodles featuring braised short rib, lo mein noodles, choy sum and a specialty garlic ginger soy sauce.
The destination also continues to offer specialty sashimi favorites, classic sushi rolls and noteworthy handrolls – including the Kaia Signature Handroll made with snow crab legs baked in honey aioli, wrapped in sesame soy paper and topped with big eye tuna and Kaluga caviar. Foodies looking to customize their dining experience can also create their own bowl with their preferred rice style, sauces, proteins and fresh toppings.
Guests with a sweet tooth can delight in Kaia’s chewy and sweet strawberry, mango and green tea flavored Mochi or creamy Ube Hachi Custard served in a signature croissant bowl topped with fresh berries.
To round out the dining experience, Kaia offers an array of sake, beer and specialty cocktails, such as the Murasaki Colada with BACARDÍ Superior Rum, Ube milk, coconut syrup, pineapple juice and lemon juice as well as the Yuzu Sparkler with Roku Gin, Yuzu Sour, butterfly pea tincture and club soda. Notable non-alcoholic options include Mokuteru mocktails and hot green tea served in an ornate teapot.
“Kaia’s expanded menu and redesigned interior reflect our commitment to offering an unparalleled dining experience,” said Rob Kellner, vice president of food and beverage, AREA15. “The new dishes provide a culinary journey across Asia, while the revamped space provides an inviting, intimate ambiance with playful touches guests will love.”
In addition to its expanded menu, Kaia is also part of AREA15’s brand-new Bytes & Beyond Food Pass. For $69, plus tax and gratuity, foodies can enjoy offerings at four different food and beverage destinations as well as a ride on LIFTOFF Bar and Ride.
