Junk Rockers Recycled Percussion Sign Extension with the

New Tropicana Las Vegas

Recycled Percussion will continue rocking at the newly transformed property for six more months

Recycled Percussion will continue to call the New Tropicana Las Vegas home, having signed a six-month extension with the newly transformed property. The deal is announced just as the band celebrates its one-year anniversary at the resort.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be staying another six months at the Tropicana Las Vegas,” said band leader Justin Spencer. “The venue has all the toys in the world and allows a band like ours, which drives itself on creativity, to flourish. Our goal is to make the show better every day and to leave the fans with a sense of entertainment fulfillment.”

Recycled Percussion’s show brings a different sound and energy to the Tropicana Theater, complete with buckets, ladders, grinders and a kitchen sink. Upon entrance to the show, which is great for all ages, the band equips each guest with a drumstick and instrument, ensuring that they play along to the junk rock fun. With the band’s musical talent, humor and extreme athleticism, audience members will be blown away from start to finish.

Formed in 1994 in New Hampshire at their high school talent show, Recycled Percussion’s first performance gave birth to the style of music now known as junk rock. Justin Spencer, who has been named the world’s “fastest extreme drummer,” along with fellow drummer Ryan Vezina, guitarist Matt Bowman and DJ Todd Griffin have averaged more than 250 shows a year since. The band was introduced in living rooms across the country on the hit TV show “America’s Got Talent” on NBC. The group placed third out of more than 100,000 acts and became the first non-singing act to place in the top three in show history. The group has appeared on the cover of USA TODAY, has performed on numerous television shows including the “Today Show,” and recently played their biggest show ever by performing on “China’s Got Talent.” The audience at the outdoor stadium was over 80,000 and the home viewership reached more than 610 million viewers. The band has also performed at the 2010 Latin Grammys, World MMA Awards, NBA and NFL halftime shows, convention general session openers, corporate events, college performances and more.

Recycled Percussion takes the stage Thursday through Tuesday at 7 p.m., and is dark Wednesdays.  For more information and ticket prices, visit http://www.troplv.com or call the Tropicana Box Office at 702.739.2411.
