Joe Walsh to perform at the Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort for one night only, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at 8 p.m.

Joe Walsh is best known for his reedy vocals, unconventional lyrics and extraordinary talent on the acoustic, electric and slide guitar. Walsh scored hits early in his career with the James Gang before forming his own group Barnstorm. In 1973, Walsh made his solo debut with The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get, cracking the Top Ten with “Rocky Mountain Way.” Walsh then followed up with 1974’s So What.

In the wake of his 1976 album You Can’t Argue with a Sick Mind, Walsh replaced guitarist Bernie Leadon in the West Coast rock group the Eagles, debuting on their hugely popular Hotel California album. Walsh continued his solo career with But Seriously, Folks in 1978, scoring his biggest pop hit to date “Life’s Been Good.” Walsh and the Eagles recorded their final studio album in 1979, the chart-topping The Long Run.

More solo hits followed for Walsh including “All Night Long,” featured in the 1980 film Urban Cowboy. Walsh has performed and recorded with many other artists including Dan Fogelberg, Steve Winwood, The Who’s John Entwistle and Ringo Starr. With a new album, Analog Man (June 5, 2012), Walsh remains one of the most colorful characters in rock ‘n roll.

Doors at the Pearl will open at 7 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. The Pearl Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days. The Pearl is now on Twitter. Follow @PearlatPalms for concert announcements and event information.
