UNITED: ANNUAL WOMEN’S PHILANTHROPY EVENT
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2012 AT TAO NIGHTCLUB
The Premiere Women’s Event Benefiting The Jewish Federation Of Las Vegas Will Feature
a Silent and Live Auction and a Special Performance from A Cappella Group Mosaic
Women’s Philanthropy presents the United event on behalf of the Jewish Federation’s fundraising campaign. This year Women’s Philanthropy has turned their annual luncheon into a night affair, extending the invitation to men in support and celebration of the campaign. The event will be held from 7-10 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Tao Nightclub in the Venetian Resort Casino and promises to bring the community’s most generous women and men together for an unforgettable night in support of the Jewish Federation’s philanthropic programs.
“We are very excited to bring something new to Women’s Philanthropy efforts,” said Heather DiChiaro and Ilana Vann, Co-Chairs of United. “We wanted to bring a fresh energy to our annual event by implementing a few twists—a night event with an open invitation for men and women to collectively highlight the joy, inspiration and commitment of our community.”
United will feature an open bar and hors d’oeuvres, along with a silent auction and a special performance by the award-winning, Las Vegas-based band Mosaic, best known for being titled “The Next Great A Cappella Group” by CBS’ “A Cappella Quest” and winner of MTV’s Top Pop Group. The 2012 event will also introduce a live auction, with items including an adorable puppy from The Animal Foundation, a trip to New York City and a two night stay at the Gansevoort Park Avenue, special addition artwork from the Jeff Mitchum Gallery and something sure to sparkle from Van Cleef and Arpels.
Women’s Philanthropy and The Jewish Federation are pleased to acknowledge the generous support of the 2012 event sponsors including Brenden Theaters, Destinations by Design and Tao Nightclub.
The event couvert is $100. Registration for the event is available at jewishlasvegas.com or by calling 702-732-0556.
All guests will have an opportunity to make a minimum gift of $365 to the 2012 Jewish Federation Campaign, and if the pledge is received by February 1, patrons will receive a $100 voucher toward the auction.
A highlight of the 2012 campaign is the Adelson Challenge, created by the generous support of Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson. The Adelson Challenge is a pledge to match every new gift given in the 2012 Jewish Federation Campaign dollar for dollar. Every increased gift will also be matched dollar for dollar for the amount of increase.
The Jewish Federation, with the generous support of its contributors, is proud to provide vitally important financial resources to beneficiary and collaborative partners who provide programs, humanitarian aid and social services to those in need in the Las Vegas Valley on a nonsectarian basis.
