After hosting the UNLV Rebels ELITE meet just two weeks ago, the UNLV track & field team took the course once again on Thursday, competing at the 64th Annual Mt. SAC Relays meet. Hosted by Mt. San Antonio College, the Scarlet & Gray kicked off their three days of competition with a quick day one on Thursday.
Emili Osula Liis represented the Rebels in the highly competitive meet on day one, facing off against NCAA DI-ranked opponents in the women’s javelin. She would toss a distance of 39.78m (130′ 6″) in the event, finishing 12th overall in the highly-competitive field. Thursday’s performance was the third-straight meet she’s finished on a final distance of 39m or more this outdoor season.
The bulk of UNLV’s attendance at the meet will take place on Friday, April 19, participating in nine different events on the day. Among those aforementioned events it will split between four field and five running, the field events consisting of the long jump, discus, high jump and shot put. The Rebels’ running events will be the 100m and 100m hurdles, 200m, 400m and 400m hurdles.
