Insomniac, the production company behind North America’s largest three-day dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, partnered with eBay for Charity and Surreal to give back to the communities of Southern Nevada with the third annual EDC Week Charity Auction and first-ever EDC Week Charity Sweepstakes. Hundreds of participating fans raised over $162,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, which will fund fourteen comprehensive art programs across the region. During the EDC Week Charity Auction and Surreal Sweepstakes, thousands of bids were made for over 75 once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

“With each year of the EDC Week Charity auction, I am so grateful for the outpouring of support we receive from our fans and the community,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “We partnered with Surreal for the first time to give everyone a fair shot at winning a special experience this year, and the response was incredible. Thank you to all that participated, because of you we raised our highest total yet for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.”

During two unique phases of the EDC Week Charity Auction, fans from around the world had the opportunity to bid on unbelievable EDC experiences through eBay for Charity. Prizes included the chance to win The Golden Ticket to 10 Insomniac events throughout the year, to propose on stage at EDC Las Vegas, to take a helicopter tour over the festival and more. Headliners could also bid on creating priceless memories with some of their favorite artists, including the chance to pop champagne with Armin van Buuren, have a pizza party with Showtek, race across the track with Excision and much more.

As an extension of the EDC Week Charity Auction, Insomniac partnered with Surreal to launch the first EDC Week Charity Sweepstakes, where fans could enter to win a variety of experiences with the biggest names in dance music. During the festival, the winning fans will watch Major Lazer on stage, ride the Artist Ferris Wheel with Marshmello, catch Martin Garrix at OMNIA, take a helicopter tour of the festival with Pasquale Rotella, and more.

“When we discovered we were going to be the recipients of this year’s EDC Week Charity Auction and Surreal Sweepstakes, we never imagined such an incredible outpouring of generosity and support,” said Andy Bischel, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. “With these funds, we will be able to enhance 14 fully developed art programs, buy supplies, and foster creativity for our kids across Southern Nevada.”

Since the launch of the EDC Week Charity Auction in 2015, Insomniac, eBay For Charity, artists and premier Las Vegas businesses have raised over $355,000 for local nonprofits including Culture Shock Las Vegas, The Shade Tree, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
