WEDDING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD™ UNVEILS NEW MURAL
AT MARRIAGE LICENSE BUREAU

Design Created by Acclaimed Local Artist Shan Evans

The Wedding Capital of the World™ announces the installation of a vibrant new wedding-themed mural at the Marriage License Bureau in Downtown Las Vegas, created by acclaimed local artist Shan Evans. The mural, designed to capture the joy, romance and distinctive energy of Las Vegas weddings, serves as the latest iconic photo opportunity for couples from around the world.

Evans was selected as the winner of a competitive local artist contest earlier this year, that attracted entries from some of Las Vegas’ most talented creatives. With a reputation for his compelling street art and larger-than-life murals, Evans is celebrated for his ability to convey emotion through bold colors and striking compositions. His new piece for the Wedding Capital of the World™ encapsulates the glamor and allure of Las Vegas, merging the city’s storied past with its ever-evolving role as the ultimate destination for love and marriage.

Spanning 40 feet wide and 14 feet high, the mural is a visually stunning addition to the exterior wall of the Marriage License Bureau. The artwork, digitally created and transferred onto a high-quality vinyl wrap, showcases Evans’ dynamic style and draws inspiration from mid-century modern aesthetics, the award-winning Forever Happens Here campaign, our historic neon motifs and the timeless spirit of love in Las Vegas.

“This mural not only celebrates the history and character of Las Vegas weddings but also adds a modern twist to the love stories that unfold here every day,” said Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya. “It’s a powerful reminder that in Las Vegas, love truly has no bounds—and every couple can be the star of their own unforgettable moment.”

“Whenever I think of love and marriage, I imagine a world filled with magic and fantasy,” said Evans. “But the reality is that it is built on hard work and dedication. As I created this mural, that understanding evolved and shaped the piece itself. I wanted to capture that effort—showing the bricks, the structures, the wires – little handmade touches strung together by threads. There’s work involved in keeping the glow alive, whether it’s in a piece of art, this city or a life together, and sometimes, you’ve got to change a few light bulbs along the way.”

The new mural will remain on display for at least one year at the Regional Justice Center building on the corner of Clark and 3rd St. With the Marriage License Bureau open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. to midnight, it will also serve as the ultimate backdrop for Instagrammable wedding and engagement photos, offering couples a memorable setting to capture the excitement of their special day.
