HOPE MEANS NEVADA HOSTS STATEWIDE MENTAL HEALTH DISCUSSION, THURSDAY, OCT. 12
WHAT:
Today, Oct. 12, Hope Means Nevada (HMN), the community-based non-profit focused eliminating youth suicide in the state hosted its second statewide mental health discussion for the 2023 – 2024 school year. The event fostered collaborative, meaningful conversations among students, educators, and the community and outlined actionable steps for addressing mental health challenges in Nevada’s schools.
Speakers on the panel included Julie Murray, Hope Means Nevada president and co-founder, Annie Zucker, Hope Means Nevada board member, Monica Martin, CCSD Director of Guidance & Counseling Department, Sydney Menante, Hope Means Nevada Teen Committee member, Leona Chan, Hope Means Nevada Teen Committee member, Megan Evans, MA, NCC, NCSC, LMFT, Crisis Mental Health Professional for Washoe County School District and Andre Cisne from SilverSummit Health Plan.
