Movie and Rock Stars Invade the Laugh Factory Las Vegas
This Week: Gerry Bednob, Bob Golub and Ace Guillen Will Perform
The legendary Laugh Factory Las Vegas at the New Tropicana Las Vegas is proud to introduce this week’s impressive comedy lineup: Gerry Bednob, Bob Golub and Ace Guillen will take the stage May 7-13.
Gerry Bednob blew audiences away in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” as “Mooj,” the older, short-tempered co-worker of Steve Carell’s character “Andy.” Now, this scene-stealing comedian is bringing his talent to the Laugh Factory Las Vegas where he will be headlining for the week.
Bednob’s refreshing brand of comedy has led to a meteoric rise in the entertainment industry that has garnered the respect of audiences, critics and industry peers. Prior to appearing in comedy blockbusters such as “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,” and “Zack and Miri Make a Porno,” Bednob had roles on notable television shows such as “Wilfred,” “Undeclared,” and “Seinfeld.” This Trinidad-born comedic powerhouse of East Indian heritage got his start at an open mic night and went on to perform on “The Merv Griffin Show” and win the 1993 Star Search International Stand-Up Competition.
Joining Bednob is Bob Golub, also known as “The Polish Madman.” Golub, known for his versatile and unencumbered comedic style, drives audiences mad with laughter. This “madman” is equipped with a comedic prowess and a relentless drive for success that brought him from childhood poverty and time in prison to an appearance on “The Tonight Show,” a role in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 box-office hit “Goodfellas,” and an invitation to the White House. This success is not limited to the realm of comedy; he developed and produced the first stand-up comedy for the hearing impaired. This fundraiser for the League for the Hard of Hearing in New York has raised more than two million dollars.
Rocker turned comedian Ace Guillen is the freshest face in stand-up. After touring with rock bands and being named a finalist for the Inland Empire Music Awards, Guillen turned his talent to comedy. With rave reviews in major newspapers and magazines, it’s no wonder he performs regularly in major venues across the country. Guillen has made appearances on National Lampoon Radio on XM Satellite Radio, NBC, Comedy Central, and was also a cast member of the sketch comedy show “Unacceptable Behavior” on SiTV.
