Hecho en Vegas To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Interactive Demonstrations and Tequila Pairing Lunch

Hecho en Vegas at MGM Grand Hotel & Casinowill celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a festive event featuring interactive margarita and guacamole making demonstrations followed by a three-course lunch with tequila pairings Tuesday, May 5 at 2 p.m.

To begin the afternoon, guests are invited to try their hand at making two Mexican food staples with some guidance from the experts. Hecho en Vegas Executive Chef Reed Osterholt will demonstrate the steps to creating the restaurant’s signature tableside guacamole as guests follow along using ingredients set at their own personal station. Next, AsomBroso Tequila Ambassador Sam Garcia will show attendees how to shake up the perfect margarita. After sipping and snacking on their creations, guests will enjoy a three-course lunch with tequila pairings selected to complement each dish.
The specialty menu includes:
- Chiles en Nogada, roasted poblano chiles filled with beef and pork picadillo, topped with creamy walnut sauce and fresh pomegranates.
- Lamb Barbacoa Bandera: a red chile crusted lamp chop with truffled mashed potatoes and jalapeño mint jelly.
- Bandera Bomba: a three layer cake resembling the Mexican flag.
Guests that take part in this celebratory event will receive recipe cards and a special gift.
