In a recent interview with Last.fm, vocalist Schuylar Croom was asked about the meaning behind his lyrics. “I don’t like to really explain what the songs mean because I want people to be able to interpret it in their own way. It’s like if I wrote “Black Hole Sun” and told you it was about nothing, but you were eating acid in the woods listening to that song and it changed your life. You wouldn’t want to find out it was about nothing. I don’t want to ruin it for somebody.”
Heavy Fruit will be out via Tragic Hero Records on August 19th and marks the band’s first new record since the 2009 cult classic It Hates You. The album was produced by Mitch Marlow (In This Moment, Filter) and mixed by Bob Marlette (Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Saliva).
