Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas Opens Furniture ReStore in Boulevard Mall
50+ semi-trucks of furniture on sale
By opening a new 12,000-square-foot ReStore in the iconic Boulevard Mall, Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas will offer Las Vegans the opportunity to affordably furnish a home while giving others in the community the opportunity to own a home.
The new Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located near SeaQuest inside Boulevard Mall at 3538 Maryland Parkway, Suite 526, Las Vegas, 89169 is now open. An official Grand Opening is scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2017.
Regular store hours will be Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Boulevard Mall Habitat for Humanity ReStore will be continually stocked with items from more than 50 semi-trucks full of furniture that were donated to the nonprofit by Caesars Entertainment Corporation during recent guest room renovations at Harrah’s Las Vegas and Bally’s Las Vegas. Items for sale will include:
- Headboards (wood)
- Armoires
- Dressers
- Couches
- Upholstered chairs and ottomans
- Desk sets
- Lamps
- Drapes / Window Treatments
- Artwork
Like all purchases at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore, proceeds from the sale will fund the local nonprofit’s mission of revitalizing and stabilizing neighborhoods in our community.
Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas builds single family homes throughout Clark County for working families earning less than 80% of area median income. The home is sold at no profit through a zero-interest mortgage. Families volunteer their labor to help build Habitat homes, including the one they will eventually purchase. The program also includes financial literacy classes and other support.
Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas will build 20 single-family attached homes in the Pittman Community of Henderson, which is the largest build Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas will construct at one time. The first phase of six homes are expected to be complete by spring/summer 2018.
“When you purchase any merchandise from a Habitat for Humanity ReStore you are funding stability and hope,” said Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity CEO Douglas Coombs. “Everyone in our community deserves a decent place to live.”
Habitat for Humanity currently operates two additional ReStores located at 4580 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 120 (near S. Arville St.) and 3455 East Flamingo Road #135 (near S. Pecos Rd.).
