Gun Garage and Special Olympics Nevada in Partnership with
Local Law Enforcement Hosted

100% of the event proceeds benefitted Special Olympics Nevada

Gun Garage, formerly Guns and Ammo Garage, hosted the first-ever “Shoot for our Stars” range shooting competition and safety fair with local law enforcement officers on Wednesday, April 16. Amateur shooters and gun enthusiasts participated in the event to demonstrate their skills against top active local law enforcement officers. 100% of the event proceeds will be donated to Special Olympics Nevada.

Designed to become an annual event, “Shoot for our Stars” provided each participant with a three station shooting package including a GLOCK 19, Uzi and the Mark 18 as well as a shooting target, souvenir photo with their competitor, food and drink provided by Fresh and Easy, commemorative t-shirt, and one raffle ticket. During the competition, the outdoor safety fair featured food and non-alcoholic drinks for sale, law enforcement vehicles including K-9 and SWAT, booths, a raffle and officers on hand to answer questions and provide safety information to the public.

“This event was a fun way to raise money for a deserving organization,” said Darby Neagle, owner of Gun Garage. “We look forward to doing this event for years and years to come.”

The funds raised from this event will help the more than 3,000 Special Olympics athletes who participate in sports training and competitions at no cost to the athlete or their family.
