Longtime Las Vegas entertainer Gordie Brown will celebrate the work of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with a very special offer for its employees. Now through June 30, 2016, LVMPD employees who present an employee ID at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Box Office are eligible to receive a buy one, get one ticket offer for any Gordie Brown performance through the end of June. Officers who present a badge at the Box Office will receive a complimentary pair of tickets for shows May 15-21, 2016, in honor of National Police Week.
“Each day, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department members risk their lives to protect our community,” said Gordie Brown. “As a token of appreciation for that service, we’d like to extend these special offers to show our gratitude.”
Established by a joint resolution by Congress in 1962, National Police Week recognizes the service and sacrifice of U.S. law enforcement and gives special recognition to officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of the communities they serve.
Gordie, who has performed in Las Vegas for more than 27 years, began headlining at Golden Nugget Las Vegas in February 2009 in the state-of-the-art theater now known as The Gordie Brown Showroom, following a North American tour with Celine Dion. A multitalented entertainer, Gordie has long brought to life performance legends including Presley, Sammy Davis Jr., and Arnold Schwarzenegger alongside a five-piece live band.
A native of Montreal, Canada, Gordie moved to Las Vegas with the goal of working with fellow Canadians Paul Anka and Rich Little. The gamble paid off and before he knew it, he was opening for both Anka and Little. Gordie went on to work with other stars including Jay Leno, Louie Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Barry Manilow, and Jerry Seinfeld, before opening up his own headlining show.
Gordie Brown performs Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday in The Gordie Brown Showroom at Golden Nugget Las Vegas. Tickets to the show can be purchased at www.goldennugget.com or by calling (866) 946-5336.
