Golden Rainbow welcomes back TV personality Chris Saldaña and Edie of Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity to host the 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” production. The fundraiser will take place at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

Saldaña, a two time Emmy award-winning journalist, has nearly 15 years of experience working as an anchor and reporter. Aside from being a TV personality, Saldaña frequently hosts and emcees numerous local and national charitable events. He has served as a public speaker on various topics including diversity within school classrooms, cross cultural differences in media coverage, as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues. Saldaña has been an avid supporter of Golden Rainbow and will be returning to host “Ribbon of Life” for a third time.

Edie has been a member of Cirque du Soleil’s hit show Zumanity for five years. The “Mistress of Sensuality” has performed more than 2,500 shows for over 3 million people. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Edie wowed audiences across the world as a professional ballet dancer, and received awards for “Best Dancer” and “Entertainer of the Year” at the Glammys, the ultimate drag award show. Edie will be returning to host “Ribbon of Life” for a third time.

“Ribbon of Life” is one of the largest HIV/AIDS fundraisers in the state of Nevada and the Golden Rainbow’s main source of revenue. The fundraising spectacular is unlike any other production in the city and features some of the best performers from premier shows on the Las Vegas Strip. Showcasing new numbers and talent, each year’s audience is always surprised, thrilled and inspired by the performances that are exclusive to the event. Tickets for Golden Rainbow’s 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” fundraising production are still available for purchase at The Smith Center Box Office, thesmithcenter.com, ticketmaster.com or by calling 702-749-2000.
