The Golden Nugget Las Vegas celebrates the 31st anniversary of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo by providing non-stop action for all rodeo enthusiasts Dec. 3 – 12. The downtown resort transforms into NFR headquarters offering a full lineup of rodeo activities, including free viewing parties and meet-and-greets with riders, culminating nightly at The Grand Event Center, where the biggest names in country music will take the stage.

Additionally, hotel rooms for Wrangler National Finals Rodeo at Golden Nugget Las Vegas are now on sale with room rates starting at $59.

Headliner Entertainment:
The Golden Nugget will host seven world-class country performances Thursday, Dec. 3 – Friday, Dec. 11. All concerts will be held in The Grand Event Center following the rodeo at 10 p.m. each night. For the fifth year in a row, Merle Haggard brings the biggest fans of country music to downtown Las Vegas for one of the best concerts of the year. A country legend and powerhouse, Haggard will entertain with some of his biggest hits including “Pancho Lefty” and “Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Star.”

Alabama is back at the Golden Nugget for two encore performances this year. The group has been named Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association three times, Entertainer of the Year by the Academy of Country Music five times and was also named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music. Iconic hits include “Mountain Music” and “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas.”

Nightly Viewing Parties:
Get into the action with live nightly Wrangler NFR broadcasts in The Gordie Brown Showroom. The giant screen closed-circuit viewing parties receive rave reviews from rodeo fans, making it the best spot to view all the action. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is free with food and drink specials available for purchase. The rodeo will also be broadcasted in the Race and Sports Book, Rush Lounge, Gold Diggers and at various bars throughout the property.

Barrel Racer Autograph Session:
Meet and greet the Top 15 Wrangler NFR barrel racing contestants at the Golden Nugget sponsored autograph session on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 12-2 p.m. in front of The Grand Event Center. Contestants that will be present include Callie Duperier, Lisa Lockhart, Sarah Rose McDonald, Mary Walker, Sherry Cervi and more!

Giddy-Up at Gold Diggers:
Overlooking the famous Fremont Street Experience, Gold Diggers Nightclub goes country in honor of the Wrangler NFR. Hit the dance floor for top 40 hits all night long. Enjoy nightly drinkspecials sponsored by Jack Daniels and Coors Light.

$7,000 Golden Horse Race:
Saddle up for the $7,000 Golden Horse Race Friday, Dec. 4 – Thursday, Dec. 10. 24K Select players earning 50 slot points on any participating machine at least one hour prior to the start of the race are eligible to participate. Participants will be prompted to select a horse on their slot machine screen. If a horse is not selected, the machine will randomly select one. Guests who select the winning horse for each race will split the $250 free slot play grand prize.
