Golden Nugget Las Vegas took home several prizes in Casino Players Magazine’s annual Best of Slots awards. Among the first-place honors the downtown resort and casino received: Best Nickel Slots; Best High-end Slot Area; Best Slot Club Promotions, and Best Players Club Lounge. Golden Nugget Las Vegas also received eight additional second and third-place awards which helped the resort rack up a total of 12 accolades in 2016.

- America – November 4
- Formed in England in the ’70s, America achieved significant popularity for the trio’s close vocal harmonies and light acoustic folk sound. Multi-instrumentalists Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley debuted their self-titled album in 1971, which produced the transatlantic hits “A Horse with No Name” and “I Need You.” In 1974, America came roaring back into the forefront with chart toppers like “Tin Man” and “Lonely People” and again in 1975 with number one singles “Sister Golden Hair” and “Daisy Jane.”
- Lou Gramm “The Juke Box Hero” & Former Voice of Foreigner – November 11
- After rising to prominence as the front man for the hard rock combo Foreigner, Lou Gramm mounted a successful solo career during the 80s, cracking the Top 10 in 1987 with the single “Midnight Blue” and repeating the process two years later with “Just Between You and Me.” Gramm’s powerfully distinctive vocals were inescapable and defined the sound of rock through his most prominent years.
- Little River Band – November 18
- Little River Band is an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne in 1975 and named after a road sign for the Victorian township of Little River. They were the first Australian rock group to enjoy sustained commercial success in the United States. During their career the band have sold more than 25 million records and scored 13 American Top 40 hits.
- Eric Burdon & The Animals – November 25
- Coined for their wild stage acts during the British Invasion, The Animals have rocked the music scene since 1962 with such hits as “The House of the Rising Sun,” “We Gotta Get Out Of This Place,” and “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.” Led by the gritty, bluesy sound of front man Eric Burdon, The Animals had ten Top Twenty hits in both the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. They also received the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in both 1999 and 2011.
