Tickets and sponsorships available now for annual fundraising on Saturday, September 28

The Las Vegas Natural History Museum’s signature fundraising Gala, the 2024 Dinosaur Ball, will be held on the evening of Saturday, September 28th at the museum from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The event will honor MGM Resorts International for its unwavering commitment in support of the museum’s educational initiatives that enrich our community and advance the museum’s mission to inspire and educate through the wonders of natural history.

“Acknowledging MGM Resorts’ ongoing support is truly a privilege,” said Marcel Bloomer, Co-Chairmen of the Dinosaur Ball Committee. “Thanks to their long-standing commitment, our community has reaped the benefits of the museum’s high-quality educational initiatives.”

The 2024 Dinosaur Ball will feature food and beverage, music, entertainment, silent and live auctions, and “fun-raising” in support of the museum’s mission. This will be the fourth year the Dinosaur Ball has been held at the museum, allowing supporters to learn more about its exhibits, programs, and research efforts.

Committed sponsors include Cox Communications, Carol Levins, Nevada State Bank, City National Bank, Wynn Resorts, Trident Construction, Kalifano, Susan Houston, Bailey Kennedy, and Bank of America.

Mr. Joe Tumminia of Whiting-Turner Contracting Company has been named the museum’s second recipient of the prestigious Heart Award. Executive Director Laurie Thomas said, “One remarkable feature of the museum that I am proud of is the authentic atmosphere we cultivate, emphasizing kindness and a heartfelt environment that permeates even to the Board of Directors. Mr. Tumminia consistently maintained this sense of compassion during his tenure as the chair of the board, guiding the museum through the challenging times of COVID and a change in leadership. As he embarks on a new journey continuing to serve our community, the committee has unanimously selected him as the recipient of this year’s Heart Award.”
