The UNLV Hustlin’ Rebels baseball team will play a total of 55 regular-season games in 2023, pending outstanding contracts, with 30 of those against Mountain West competition and 25 versus 13 nonconference squads. In all, the Rebels will play 22 home contests in Las Vegas with 21 of those on campus at Earl E. Wilson Stadium and one more – a March 28 affair against Arizona State – at the Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin.

“We’ve prepared a very challenging nonconference schedule, a schedule our athletes want to play,” said Head Coach Stan Stolte. “They want to be tested against the best and we’re just doing our part for the conference, to help put the league in a better position when postseason rolls around. Our tough nonconference road games should prepare us for the good programs we have to face in the league.”

The Scarlet & Gray will play 10 three-game series against each MW squad with five at home (San Diego State, Fresno State, UNR, New Mexico and Air Force) and five on the road (UNR, Air Force, San Jose State, San Diego State and Fresno State). Nine of the 10 conference series will take place on weekends (Friday night-Sunday) except for one home contest against Air Force May 18-20 (Thursday-Saturday).

UNLV will kick off the 2023 season with a three-game home series versus Pacific (Feb. 17-29) before hitting the road for a single game at Arizona State (Feb. 21) and four at Fowler Park & Cunningham Field/Tony Gwynn Stadium for the Tony Gwynn Memorial Tournament against UC San Diego, Hawai’i, UC Irvine and Washington State (Feb. 24-27).

The Husltin’ Rebels will return home for a single game against Grand Canyon (March 1) before opening conference play against San Diego State (March 3-5). The Scarlet & Gray will then hit the road for the next 11 games, beginning with a trip to Oklahoma to take on the Sooners for the first time since 1990 for a two-game contest (March 7-8), followed by a three-game series at Cal Poly (March 10-12). UNLV will then take on the Razorbacks for a two-game series (March 14-15), before continuing MW play with a three-game series against UNR in Reno. The Rebels will close out the 11-game road trip with a single game against California Baptist on March 21.

From March 24 until the conclusion of the regular season on May 20, the Hustlin’ Rebels will play 24 contests against Mountain West foes: vs. Fresno State (March 24-26), at Air Force (March 31-April 2), vs. UNR (April 6-8), at San Jose State (April 14-16), at San Diego State (April 28-30), vs. New Mexico (May 5-7), at Fresno State (May 12-14) and vs. Air Force (May 18-20). There are four nonconference tilts in this time frame, one of those taking place at the Las Vegas Ballpark against Arizona State (March 28) and the other taking place at Earl E. Wilson for a three-game series against California Baptist (April 21-23). The remaining nonconference tilts are on the road against Loyola Marymount for a two-game series (April 10-11) and the other against Creighton for a two-game series (April 25-26).

The MW Championship will be hosted by Fresno State and will take place at Bob Bennett Stadium May 26-28.
