Live Exhibit Will Allow Guests to Watch As Artist Creates 2D Forensic Sketches
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, is hosting a live forensic sketch exhibit featuring forensic artist Jane Billingham on Saturday, December 12. The event will take place from 12 to 6 p.m., during which time Billingham will create 2D forensic reconstructions of unidentified persons with links to the Mob or human trafficking. Circumstances behind each case will be displayed and team members from the nonprofit forensic services organization, Can You Identify Me, will be on hand to discuss the importance of forensic artistry.
Jane Billingham is a freelance forensic artist driven by her passion to find justice for unidentified and missing persons across the world. She has completed classes in 3D forensic sculpture, 2D forensic art and digital postmortem forensics, studying under prominent forensic art experts such as Karen T. Taylor, Betty Pat Gatliff, and Natalie Murry. Billingham serves as a forensic art program manager for Can You Identify Me.
Can You Identify Me is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing forensic services and connecting unidentified bodies with missing persons. The organization is based in Henderson, Nevada, and its team members include retired and active law enforcement officers, coroners, UNLV criminal justice graduates and students.
The event is free with museum admission and free for Museum members.
