FOGO DE CHÃO BRAZILIAN STEAKHOUSE STEAKHOUSE RAISES $65,000 FOR JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT
Fogo de Chão hosted Junior Achievement fundraiser events at 16 locations across the nation in honor of April’s Financial Literacy Month
This month, award-winning Fogo de Chão partnered with Junior Achievement, the world’s largest organization dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy, and raised $65,000 nationwide!
The authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse offered a charitable dinner package at 16 of the restaurant’s US locations during the month of April – Financial Literacy Month – for a special price of $45-$50 per person (a $75 value) and $25 for children ages six to 10. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefited the Junior Achievement chapters in each of the 16 cities to raise awareness around the need for youth financial literacy education and to support broader implementation of JA’s programs.
The cities that participated in this initiative for financial literacy month were Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Las Vegas, Nevada; Chicago, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Beverly Hills, California; Houston, Texas; Miami, Florida; Denver, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; Austin, Texas; Orlando, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; Scottsdale, Arizona; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Atlanta, Georgia.
“On behalf of Junior Achievement, thank you to Fogo de Chão for their generosity and support, and for their dedication to youth financial literacy,” said Jack E. Kosakowski, president and chief executive officer of Junior Achievement USA®. “These fundraising events are excellent examples around how JA can forge strong local partnerships which benefit young people.”
In addition to the $65,000 raised at each of the 16 fundraising events, Fogo de Chão also donated $16,000 in promotional cards to benefit the local Junior Achievement chapters’ initiatives.
“Fogo de Chão is absolutely thrilled that we were able to support such a wonderful organization during a critical time period, Financial Literacy Month,” said Larry Johnson, CEO of Fogo de Chão. “Our restaurants across the country are proud supporters of Junior Achievement, as we know how crucial it is to begin educating children about finance and the economy at a young age. We look forward to a strong and valuable relationship with JA for many years to come.”
