Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation Deliver Toys
To Students at Marion Cahlan Edison Elementary School
This weekend is the last chance to make a donation
to the 10th Annual “Fill The Fire Truck Toy Drive”
Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation surprised students at Marion Cahlan Edison Elementary School on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, by delivering toys from their 10th Annual “Fill The Fire Truck Toy Drive.” The toy drive wraps up this weekend and there are still thousands of valley kids in need. Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation are asking the community to help fill their fire trucks with more toys this holiday season.
“No child should have to go without receiving a toy for the holidays,” said Warren Whitney, president of Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. “In these economic times, the sad reality is that there is an increased need for toys and more and more people feeling the pinch this year. That’s why we’re asking members of the community to come out this weekend to donate whatever they can so that together, we can bring holiday joy to more children this year.”
Donations of new, unwrapped toys and gift cards can be made at all local fire stations in addition to local Wal-Mart stores this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the following five designated locations:
· 7200 Arroyo Cross Pkwy, located off of S. Rainbow Rd. and I-215
· 8060 W. Tropical Pkwy, located off of Centennial Pkwy and Highway 95
· 6464 N. Decatur Blvd., located at North I-215
· 4350 N. Nellis Rd., located at Craig Rd.
