The monthly arts and culture festival amp up the LOVE this month with a free concert by

guitar master, Esteban, a giant Hop-Scotch Party and love the environment in Green Street

The First Friday Las Vegas arts and culture festival continues to evolve and draw huge crowds from around the valley and beyond for a night of art, music, food and more. First Friday recently celebrated 10 years of art and community in downtown Las Vegas, and this month’s event on Friday, Feb. 1 will heat up downtown with the Art of Romance. Check out the hundreds of vendors, artists and musicians with someone special.

FIRST FRIDAY LAS VEGAS HIGHLIGHTS:

ARTS DISTRICT

Location: Casino Center and Colorado Ave.

Art Style: Emerging and established artists, arts, crafts

Activities:

5 p.m. – 10 p.m. First Friday Las Vegas showcases 75+ artists, 15 live bands and DJ’s on four stages, 25+ food trucks and more. Join Delivering Happiness and their big blue bus at Casino Center between Colorado Ave. and Imperial Ave. for a massive Hop-Scotch Party. Making a triumphant return after debuting at the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon, the Hop-Scotch Party reminds First Friday goers that, “Even though life gets busy, there is always time to play!” Jump through multiple courses, win prizes, spread love and get happy from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

5 p.m. – 10 p.m. The Hub, First Friday’s newest meet-up point and central hangout, will have assorted interactive activities to enjoy all evening. First Friday is thrilled to welcome classical guitar legend Esteban with Teresa Joy, on violin, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Known throughout the world for his Spanish infused, sultry flamenco style, Esteban is bringing the heat to downtown. Join in free art lessons from Social Paintbrush at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and ballroom dance lessons will be provided so patrons can add some new flavors to their love from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

5 p.m. – 9 p.m. The KidZone presented by The Chuck Jones Experience will be bustling with family activity featuring art lessons by animators responsible for some of pop culture’s most beloved cartoon characters. World-class animators provided by The Chuck Jones Experience will be on-hand to provide pointers to little artists-to-be with their expert advice. Animator John Rowe, with more than 20 years experience as an animator, will teach kids how to improve. John’s work has been seen internationally on movie posters, billboards, magazines and advertisements. Don’t miss performances by RagTag Entertainment on the KidZone stage. Also the stage will feature kid performances throughout the night.

5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Green Street is the place where First Friday patrons can learn about spreading the love to the environment and a great place to hang out, listen to music and make friends. Interact with Urban Gardening and learn about renewable energy and water conservation.

DOWN 3RD

Location: Imperial and 3rd Street

Activities:

5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The delicious food provided by Las Vegas’ best food trucks can now be found on Third Street between Colorado and Imperial. Stop by the bar located on 3rd and Colorado for specialty cocktails.

HOURS OF OPERATION:

5 p.m. until 10 p.m.

PARKING/SHUTTLES:

Shuttle service will run from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Four Open Top Sightseeing Shuttles and an additional handicap equipped shuttle will make a constant loop around the entire event route.

**If you park in unauthorized parking areas, you may be subject to towing.
