Basketball fans can dive into the March championship frenzy with a variety of
special events and offerings on opening weekend
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will launch an all-out effort for college basketball’s annual tournament, hosting The STRAT presents Hoops Havoc Viewing Parties at PTs Stadium, where fans will be immersed in the ultimate basketball experience beginning Thursday, March 20. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet members of the 1990 championship-winning Runnin’ Rebels on Saturday, March 22.
Basketball fans will have an exclusive opportunity to meet three members of the legendary UNLV Runnin’ Rebels team that won the 1990 national basketball championship at its Kings of Las Vegas event. Larry Johnson, Stacey Augmon and Anderson Hunt will participate in an intimate and rare meet and greet, held in PTs Stadium from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Attendees will receive an autographed photo of the players and enjoy light bites, uniquely crafted cocktails, and more. Guests will be entered into a raffle to win one of a variety of autographed memorabilia through Lucky Box Vendings exclusive mystery boxes, with items including Patrick Mahomes, Nikola Jokić, Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal or Ja Morant jerseys; or one of two rare PSA 10 LeBron James or Kobe Bryant rookie collector cards. Event-goers will get an exclusive preview of the upcoming documentary, Kings of Las Vegas, which chronicles the untold story of the championship team through the eyes of all 13 players. Johnson, Augmon and Hunt will also join guests for an intimate Q&A session. A limited number of tickets are available and priced at $100, available for purchase at the box office and online here.
The Hoops Havoc Viewing Parties at PTs Stadium will showcase the thrilling, bracket-busting action on numerous LED TVs inside PTs Stadium and View Lounge, as well as across three large screens in The STRAT Theater. Tickets will include select complimentary cocktails, beer, wine and mocktails, plus a variety of stadium-style bites including pizza, wings, salad, assorted side dishes and snacks. Reserved seating, raffle giveaways, and a cash bar for premium beverages will also be available. The STRAT Theater will offer several seating options for tournament games from Thursday, March 20 through Saturday, March 22, including standard seating for $240 per person, premium table seating for $300 per person, standard booth seating for $1,250 per person and premium booth seating for $1,400 per person. The frenzy begins daily at 8 a.m. with tickets priced at $250 per person for reservations at PTs Stadium and View Lounge, available for games on Thursday, March 20 and Friday, March 21. Lucky Box Vending, located on the casino floor, gives sports enthusiasts and collectors the chance to win exclusive basketball memorabilia through mystery boxes. For $175, fans can try their luck at winning one of the available signed sports jerseys, including a Patrick Mahomes autographed jersey valued at $1,200, a Nikola Jokic autographed jersey worth $250, and jerseys signed by Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal, and Ja Morant, each valued at $200.
