HOPE MEANS NEVADA SELECTED AS FAITH LUTHERAN MIDDLE SCHOOL &
HIGH SCHOOL’S CHARITY OF THE MONTH IN OCTOBER

Hope Means Nevada (HMN), the community-based non-profit focused on eliminating youth suicide in the state, announces it has been selected as Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School’s charity of the month in October. Throughout the month, Faith Lutheran students will raise funds for HMN through a bake sale and other fundraising efforts.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to learn more about HMN and its mission to end teen suicide in Nevada by providing access to mental health resources and a community of hope. During the month of October, Hope Means Nevada is also displaying posters and positive messages around campus encouraging students to safeguard their mental wellness and reach out for help if they are struggling with stress, anxiety or depression.

“We are so grateful to be selected as October’s charity of the month at Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School,” says Julie Murray, co-chair, Hope Means Nevada. “As students continue to navigate academic and social life following the disruptions they endured during the pandemic, it’s a crucial time to remind them that mental health matters.”
