HUSTLIN’ REBELS TO PLAY AT LAS VEGAS BALLPARK TUESDAY

The UNLV baseball team (7-14) will take on Pac-12 Conference member Arizona State (16-8) for a single, non-conference game at the Las Vegas Ballpark in Downtown Summerlin on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
The Sun Devils come into Tuesday’s contest after a 4-0 week, defeating No. 25 Grand Canyon Wednesday before sweeping Arizona over the weekend. UNLV comes in after getting swept by Fresno State over the weekend, including two extra-inning losses.

2023 REMATCH
– UNLV and ASU played a single-game contest earlier this season in Phoenix when the Sun Devils came out victorious by a score of 6-3. It marked the first time since 2019 that the Sun Devils bested the Rebels.

UNLV will hit the road to Colorado Springs for a three-game series against the Air Force Falcons set to begin Friday at 12 p.m. (PT).
HUSTLIN‘ REBELS CLAIM WEEKLY AWARD
– Reese Lueck received the first weekly award for the Rebels, being named the Freshman of the Week following UNLV’s perfect opening weekend February 20.

– UNLV sits sixth in the conference with an overall record of 7-14, 3-6 MW.
– The Hustlin’ Rebels rank second in the conference in batting average at .282, they also rank second in the conference in runs scored (165), RBIs (139), triples (7) and in slugging percentage (.422). They rank third in hits (218), fourth in doubles (40) and in home runs (18).
– Sharp leads the MW in on base + slugging percentage (1.204), ranks second in batting average (.397), sits third for home runs (6), he is tied for third in HBP (4) and is tied for fifth in runs scored (20).
– Alex Pimentel is tied for second in the conference for HBP (5), sits tied for third in triples (2), is tied for third in walks (15) and sits fifth for on base percentage (0.463).
– Austin Kryszczuk leads the conference in sacrifice flies (3), is tied for third in walks (15) and is tied for sixth in runs scored (19).
– Rylan Charles is tied for second in HBP (5), is tied for third in triples (2) and ranks fourth in at bats (95).
– Williams ranks third in the conference in stolen bases with six, is tied for sixth in at bats (90) and is tied for seventh in hits (27).
