Eagles of Death Metal Visit Evel Pie and The Golden Tiki
The American rock band Eagles of Death Metal visited Evel Pie and The Golden Tiki before and after their Evel Pie appearance in downtown Las Vegas last night.
To kick off the night, the band held a pre-show pizza party for fans and friends at Evel Pie, downtown Las Vegas’ Evel Knievel-themed pizzeria. Lead singer Jesse Hughes was joined by guitarists Dave Catching and Eden Galindo, bassist Jennie Vee and drummer Jorma Vik. The group dined on Evel Pie’s Hog Heaven pizza and the shop’s award-winning gluten-free pizza topped with mushrooms in between talking and signing autographs for fans. Hughes even jumped into the kitchen to help the staff shout out pizza orders and took the trash out before leaving for his show.
After their Mint 400 performance, the band continued the party into the early hours of Friday morning at The Golden Tiki in Chinatown. Hughes guest DJ’d alongside DJ After School Special spinning classic tunes, including “25 or 6 to 4” by Chicago, “Never Been Any Reason” by Head East, “I Want Candy” by Bow Wow Wow and “Shake Your Booty” by KC and The Sunshine Band. During the set, fans danced along to the music while the rest of the band enjoyed a variety of The Golden Tiki’s cocktails in a private booth.
“Music is such a large part of what makes Evel Pie and The Golden Tiki what they are, and the Eagles of Death Metal fit right in to both environments,” said Branden Powers, managing partner of Evel Pie and The Golden Tiki. “It was great hosting them tonight and giving them a space to celebrate their success with fans and friends.”
