Shine that belt buckle, saddle up and head to MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Thursday, Dec. 7 – Saturday, Dec. 16 to experience multiple Wrangler National Finals Rodeo festivities fit for champions. During the 10-day event, MGM Grand will be the “Home of the Champions” and serve as the official hotel of the NFR Tie-Down Roping contestants. The resort also will host the most Gold Buckles under one roof, including 23-time World Champion cowboy Trevor Brazile. Gold Buckle Zone Presented by Bud Light
All rodeo fans will want to be roped in to visiting the Gold Buckle Zone presented by Bud Light. Located in The Central at MGM Grand, this space will turn into a high-energy nightly extravaganza from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Admission is complimentary. All scheduled entertainment is as follows:
- Doublewide (performances begin at 9:15 p.m., 10:25 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. nightly)
The rockin’ country western show band Doublewide features members of the Boogie Knights band. One of Southern California’s premier country cover bands, this classic act combines the heart and soul of pop and classic country. Doublewide performs hits by artists including Big & Rich, Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr., among others. - DeeJay Silver (performs from midnight to 2 a.m. nightly)
A top touring DJ/remixer/producer for the past 15 years, DeeJay Silver has played premier venues in virtually every major market in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Guests should pack their two-steppin’ boots and prepare to dance along to his unique mash-ups and remixes of all genres of music from hip-hop and rock to house and country.
2017 Home of the Champions Cowboys Autograph Sessions
MGM Grand is not only the official hotel of the Tie-Down Roping competitors, but it houses the most Gold Buckles under one roof. The Home of the Champions is comprised of an elite group of athletes including 23-time World Champion Trevor Brazile, three-time Tie-Down Roping World Champion Tuf Cooper and five-time Steer Wrestling World Champion Luke Branquinho.
Get up close and personal with the champions when they stop by the MGM Grand Main Lobby to sign autographs and meet fans. Autograph sessions are scheduled as follows:
- MGM Grand Roster Cowboys: Friday, Dec. 8 and Friday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- WNFR Tie-Down Roping Contestants: Saturday, Dec. 9 from noon to 2 p.m.
Nightly Wrangler NFR Live Feed
MGM Grand will offer guests the opportunity to watch each NFR round live inside the David Copperfield Theater beginning at 5:45 p.m. Swing by and enjoy one of the best rodeo viewing parties in the city. Attendees can enter to win rodeo tickets and other prizes from Wrangler and MGM Grand. Admission is complimentary and seating is first-come, first-served.
Rodney Carrington
Guests can plan to laugh their cowboy boots off with comedian and country music artist Rodney Carrington who will return to the David Copperfield Theater December 7 – 16. Performances start at 10 p.m. nightly.

2018 Miss Rodeo America Pageant
As the host hotel of the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, MGM Grand will be the location of the eight-day competition December 3 – 10 that concludes with the crowning of the 2018 Miss Rodeo America. Reigning State Rodeo Queens compete for the coveted crown of Miss Rodeo America by competing in the categories of appearance, horsemanship and personality.
