Dandelion Chocolate, the San Francisco-founded single origin bean-to-bar chocolate maker that sources the highest quality beans, will have a grand opening celebration with complimentary hot chocolate on Saturday, December 7th from 8:00am until supplies last. The soon-to-open chocolate cafe and retail shop is located inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian® Resort Las Vegas, and will be open seven days a week from 6:00am to 9:00pm. “On opening day, Dandelion will be sharing our European hot chocolate and handmade marshmallow with the community,” says Executive Pastry Chef Lisa Vega. “We’re making side bets on what will be the most popular drinks and eats here in Vegas.”
Vega is presenting an expansive menu beginning at breakfast time, including pastries such as the Banana Bread (Vegas exclusive), and Nib Scones, and a range of Ritual coffee drinks. All day long pastry treats such as Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oatmeal Cookie will be available. In the afternoon and evening Chef Vega presents dessert choices including a chocolate-covered Eclair (chocolate passion fruit) and Brown Butter Blondie (both are exclusive to Las Vegas), and Brownie Bite Flight (three types of chocolate); the pastry, treats and dessert plate offerings will be expanded in the new year. Not to be missed is Dandelion’s well regarded chocolate drinks program, beginning with the trio of hot chocolates: the classic Hot Chocolate, the Mission Hot Chocolate (spicy); the deeply rich European Hot Chocolate, and the frozen hot chocolate and iced mocha.
Guests visiting Dandelion Chocolate will experience a tasting station of single origin chocolate bars made with only two ingredients, cocoa beans and organic cane sugar; made in San Francisco. The retail shop will feature a selection of Dandelion single origin bars and sets including:

About: Dandelion Chocolate is a San Francisco based award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate factory with stores and cafes. Dandelion’s chocolate is made from only two ingredients, cocoa beans and organic cane sugar. Dandelion roasts, cracks, sorts, winnows, grinds, conches, and tempers small batches of beans and then molds and packages each bar by hand. Dandelion’s Chocolate Sourcerer Greg D’Alesandre sources its high-quality beans directly from cacao farmers and co-ops in Africa, Central America, and Asia to create ethically sourced craft chocolate from single origins. By sourcing high quality beans and carefully crafting tiny batches, Dandelion intends to bring out the individual flavors and nuances of each bean. The company was founded in 2010 by Todd Masonis, who came from the tech world, and started Dandelion in a garage to build the brand with the mission to truly celebrate craft chocolate. Executive pastry chef Lisa Vega, previously of Gary Danko, Bouchon Bakery, and recipient of Bay Area Star Chefs Rising Star Award in 2016, oversees all food and beverage services.
