Open theDoor to Summer for 700 Underprivileged
Students at Splashdown for Kids
WHAT: Communities In Schools of Nevada (CISN) and After-School All-Stars Las Vegas (ASAS) are hosting a weekend of fun in the sun at the first-ever Splashdown for Kids on April 26-27, with proceeds going to both education-focused nonprofits. For more than 700 underprivileged students sponsored by local businesses and individuals, Splashdown for Kids will be an unforgettable day of riding the thrilling water rides, forgetting the stress of everyday lives and simply being kids. These students and their families were sponsored through the adopt-a-school program, which includes 14 schools to-date.
The event is also open to the public and all funds raised over the weekend will go to benefit the two organizations. Tickets are available for sale now at: http://cisnevada.org/splashdown.

About After-School All-Stars Las Vegas
After-School All-Stars Las Vegas provides opportunities for underprivileged youth to participate in free after-school and summer programs that focus on academics, athletics and cultural enrichment. Local programs include tutoring, homework help, language and literacy skills, arts and crafts, dance, music, computers, chess, creative writing, soccer, swimming, cooking and media – just to name a few.
