The renowned Laugh Factory, which has been hailed by USA Today as “the #1 comedy club in the country,” is proud to announce its Grand Opening at the New Tropicana Las Vegas with special guest headliner Paul Rodriguez, May 23-24.

For four shows, Rodriguez will bring his wildly popular brand of comedy to the Laugh Factory Las Vegas stage. With over three decades of comedy under his belt, this irrefutable funnyman guarantees laughs, in more than one language.

Rodriguez has appeared in over 45 films and countless television series and comedy specials. His  impressive filmography includes “Without Men,” “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore,” “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” “A Cinderella Story,” “Ali,” “Tortilla Soup,” “Blood Work,” “Rat Race” and “Chasing Papi.”

Rodriguez has also appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” He has lent his voice to the popular animated programs “King of the Hill” and “Dora the Explorer,” and currently hosts “Mis Videos Locos with Paul Rodriguez” on Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más.

An accomplished writer, director and producer, Rodriguez’s hit projects include the comedy concert film “The Original Latin Kings of Comedy,” which he executive produced and starred in along with Cheech Marin, George Lopez and Carlos Mencia, the feature film “A Million to Juan,” and six comedy specials for HBO. He also has the distinguished credit of performing the first one-hour stand-up comedy special, “Dime Con Quien Andas,” on Telemundo.

The crowd-pleasing Ron Pearson will join Rodriguez. Beware: This comedian, actor and world-record juggler has been known to come equipped with a unicycle and does not shy away from enlisting the help of audience members. Pearson started his career as a child street performer and has since appeared in multiple television shows including “Malcolm and Eddie,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “That 70’s Show.” He has been a guest on late-night shows such as “The Late Late Show” and “The Dennis Miller Show.”

The world-famous Laugh Factory is known for hosting some of the biggest names in comedy including Roseanne Barr, Drew Carey, Jim Carrey, Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, Rodney Dangerfield, Ellen DeGeneres, Kathy Griffin, Andy Kaufman, Jay Leno, David Letterman, George Lopez, Bill Maher, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Ray Romano, Bob Saget, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, Jon Stewart, Chris Tucker, Robin Williams and many more.

Special Grand Opening VIP Package tickets will be offered for the 8:30 p.m. show on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, for $60.00 (plus applicable taxes). This one-time offer includes access to the Grand Opening red carpet at 6:00 p.m., access to the pre-show reception, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Tickets to see Paul Rodriguez and other Laugh Factory shows start at $31.90 (plus applicable taxes). Shows are performed daily at 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and feature different marquee acts each week, from established stand-up superstars to the young rising stars of tomorrow.
