Collaboration Center to Host 3rd Annual Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair on November 16

Free event celebrating inclusion and disability awareness to feature petting zoo,
community resources, and fun for all abilities

 The Collaboration Center, Las Vegas’ premier disability resource network, invites families of all abilities to its 3rd Annual Harvesting Hope Family Fall Festival and Community Resource Fair. This free event will take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 12-3 p.m., celebrating inclusion and disability awareness while showcasing vital resources available in Southern Nevada.

Harvesting Hope promises a day filled with inclusive activities and valuable connections for attendees of all ages and abilities. The event’s diverse offerings include:

    • A sensory-rich petting zoo, allowing visitors to interact with friendly animals up close
    • An extensive resource fair featuring over 40 vendors, providing crucial information on disability services and support available in Southern Nevada
    • Engaging fall festival activities from seasonal crafts to fun games suitable for everyone
    • ADA-accessible areas including a small park for those needing a break

“Harvesting Hope is where support meets celebration,” says Cindy Goussak, Executive Director of the Collaboration Center. “It’s a chance for our community to come together, have fun, and discover the incredible resources available to individuals and families touched by disabilities.”

The expansive resource fair will showcase a diverse array of vendors from both public and private sectors, representing a comprehensive spectrum of disability support services. Organizations scheduled to participate in the resource fair include:

      • Adventure Scouts: Inclusive scouting group for disability community
      • A New Journey Wellness & Therapy Center: Dr. Nicole Safford Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, PhD, MFT-I, EMDR, CAMS-I
      • Art Studio at Collaboration Center: Creative programs for individuals of all abilities
      • Boys Town Nevada: Innovative approach to child and family care in the Las Vegas area
      • Children’s Heart Foundation: Support for children with heart conditions and their families
      • Foster Kinship: Resources and support for kinship caregivers
      • Let’s Talk! Therapy Center: Speech, occupational, physical, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services
      • National Alliance for Holistic Integrations (NAHI): Working with families of all abilities, using a whole-body holistic approach to wellness
      • Serving Our Communities: Helping families explore different educational opportunities
      • State of Nevada Medicaid: Information on healthcare coverage options
      • Welt Law: Social security, disability and guardianship
