Communities In Schools of Nevada (CIS of Nevada) will hold their highly anticipated, seventh annual fall benefit gala, Today For Tomorrow, on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Belmont Ballroom inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The annual philanthropic foodie event, this year themed “Groovy Nights,” will once again feature a mouth-watering culinary lineup from The Cosmopolitan’s roster of award-winning celebrity chefs. In addition, a disco dance floor, seventies tribute band, entertainment from the cast of BAZ: Star Crossed Love, silent and live auctions, a live gaming area and much more will entertain all in attendance. Guests are strongly encouraged to dress in their grooviest duds and disco the night away.

Thirteen restaurants from The Cosmopolitan will delight palates with tapas-style delicacies that are small in portion but big in flavor, many served by the Executive Chefs themselves. Participating restaurants include: Beauty & Essex, Blue Ribbon, China Poblano, Estiatorio Milos, Holsteins, Jaleo, Momofuku, Milk Bar, Scarpetta, Rose. Rabbit. Lie, STK, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Pastry Shop, and Zuma. In addition, the best in mixology will be featured by the creative minds of The Chandelier and CliQue Bar & Lounge.

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval will be honored for his continuous dedication toward advocating on behalf of Nevada’s most vulnerable student populations. Also in attendance will be Governor Sandoval’s former Chief of Strategy Officer and Nevada Superintendent, and current CEO of Communities in Schools National, Dale Erquiaga. Former Nevada Senator Harry Reid and his wife Landra are co-chairs of the event.

Last year’s swanky 1920s-themed soiree was attended by more than 400 guests and allowed attendees to raise $300,000 for the local affiliate of the nation’s leading dropout prevention program. Live auction highlights included an eight-person in home-cooked dinner prepared by celebrity chefs Scott Conant of Scarpetta, and Chris Santos of Beauty and Essex; a fluffy eleven-week-old Maltipoo puppy; and a seven-day trip to Australia.

To meet its mission of surrounding at-risk students with a community of support, CIS of Nevada relies on its community partners, as well as grants and donations, to fund its proven system of integrated student support.
