CIRCA SPORTS DIVES INTO VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS’ SEASON ODDS MOVEMENT
Las Vegas-Based Sports Betting Brand Takes a Look at Vegas’ Wild Ride to Win It All
Go Knights Go! Las Vegas-based sports betting brand and home jersey patch sponsors of the Vegas Golden Knights, Circa Sports, is looking back at the team’s odds changes throughout the eventful sixth season, ultimately leading to the team winning it all on Tuesday.
When the professional hockey championship market opened at Circa Sports on June 17, 2022, the Golden Knights were set at +1300. Although among the favorites, they were not at the top; rather, Colorado opened as the favorite to win the title. The market on the Golden Knights continuously moved throughout the offseason, getting as high as +2500 over the summer. By the opening game on Oct. 11, they were +2000.
The number fluctuated throughout the season, and after a hot start, was cut all the way to +800 by Nov. 10. The Golden Knights had a skid in January, even losing seven-of-eight games at one point. By Feb. 2, they were +1700, which was the largest number that any bettor could get the Golden Knights to win the championship at any point during the regular season.
The Golden Knights entered the postseason at +1100, but after losing the first game of the postseason to Ottawa, their number jumped to +2100. This was the longest price during the season that Circa Sports had on the Golden Knights. From there, the number fell to +535 after beating Ottawa. While the number would bounce during the first four games against Edmonton and even moved up to +900, it largely continued to drop as they handled Edmonton and dispatched Dallas with relative ease. The Golden Knights were then -130 favorites to win the title once that series price increased.
