Clark County Medical Society Alliance’s 23rd Annual Fashion Show Luncheon Supports Survivors of Human Trafficking
April 17, 2025 | Durango Casino & Resort | Benefiting B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation
The Clark County Medical Society Alliance (CCMSA) will host its 23rd Annual Fashion Show Luncheon on Wednesday, April 17, 2025, at the new Durango Casino & Resort in Las Vegas. This year’s event will benefit the B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting young girls and women affected by human trafficking, abuse, and exploitation.
The show will be produced by Vasari Fashion House, the luxury boutique known for its curated designer collections and flagship store at Tivoli Village. Guests can expect an elegant afternoon of fashion, philanthropy, and community impact—all in support of one of Southern Nevada’s most pressing humanitarian issues.
Human trafficking is the fastest growing crime in the world, generating over $150 billion annually. It is estimated that 97% of sex trafficking victims are female, and Las Vegas continues to rank among the highest U.S. cities for the trafficking of minors. With a median age of just 12 years old, vulnerable youth are often targeted through social media and gaming platforms, with recruitment occurring in as little as 30 minutes.
“A decade of supporting victims of human trafficking has shown us the power of compassion, resilience, and dedicated intervention,” said Kimberly Miles, Founder and President of B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. Foundation. “But the crisis persists. It’s time to double down on our efforts to provide healing, education, and safety to help victims become survivors—and ultimately, thrivers.”
This year’s event reflects CCMSA’s deep commitment to addressing health and wellness challenges in the Las Vegas community.
“The B.E. A S.H.E.R.O. initiative immediately captured my attention because of its powerful mission,” said Annette Seifzad, CCMSA Co-President. “This cause isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action, resources, and empowering survivors to reclaim their lives.”
“Through my work with both SHERO and the Alliance, I’ve seen firsthand the difference made by providing survivors with medical care, counseling, and essentials,” added Anita Koka, CCMSA Co-President. “Together, we are giving these young women a second chance at life.”
Over the past 23 years, CCMSA has raised more than $3 million for Las Vegas nonprofits supporting health-related needs in Southern Nevada. This year, the organization is seeking event sponsors, donated services, and silent auction items to further expand its impact.
