$10 Million Gift From Fertitta Family
Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (CCSN) is proud to announce a $10 million joint pledge from the Frank and Victoria Fertitta Foundation, Frank and Jill Fertitta and Lorenzo and Teresa Fertitta. This generous gift, will be funded over a three-year period to enable the renovation of the nonprofit campus and provide funds for ongoing operational support.
Campus improvements will include refurbishing the Emergency Shelter, which houses an average of 500 homeless men each night, and remodeling the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility, which hosts the free community meal that serves an average of 800 men, women, and children every day of the year. CCSN operates 18 programs, including Meals on Wheels for Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, the Hands of Hope Community Food Pantry, Adoption Services, and job training for homeless individuals seeking to achieve self-sufficiency.
“There are few words that can adequately describe the gratitude we feel toward the Fertitta Family, who have long been supporters of our core mission of providing help and hope to our community’s most vulnerable citizens,” said Deacon Tom Roberts, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, President & CEO. “This gift will allow us to continue to fund and sustain existing programs, and we are blessed to be stewards of such incredible generosity.”
“Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is one of our community’s oldest nonprofit organizations, which operates 365 days a year to provide a culture of caring,” said Victoria Fertitta. “My family is very grateful for their dedicated staff and volunteers, who tirelessly go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure those in need are taken care of.”
