Already home to the area’s only free residential bike share program, Henderson master planned community Cadence is adding two Fixit bicycle repair stations to keep pedals turning and wheels spinning.

Each Fixit station includes a heavy-duty air pump; Philips and flat head screwdrivers; 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 mm Allen wrenches; 8, 9, 10, 11, 15 and 32 mm box wrenches; and two tire levers: all the tools necessary to perform basic bicycle repair and maintenance, from changing a tire to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. Hanging a bike from the station’s hangar arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments. Each station also includes a QR code for a comprehensive bike repair site.

Cadence’s free bike share program features a central hub near the Home Finding Center and racks throughout the community. The program employs wireless technology equipped “smart bikes” – by signing up for the program at cadence.socialbicycles.com or at the Cadence Home Finding Center, bike share participants can easily access trip data and share news of their riding adventures on social media.

Cadence also boasts 450 acres of open space as well as 30 acres of trails that interconnect to the Las Vegas Wash Trail and River Mountain Loop Trail. Cadence was also built with complete streets, designed and operated to safely accommodate all users, including pedestrians and bicyclists of all ages.
