Cabo Wabo Cantina to Host Re-Release Party for
Van Halen’s “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” Album
Sammy Hagar and Van Halen fans can purchase the brand-new Expanded Edition
of the classic 1991 album at Sammy Hagar’s iconic Cabo Wabo Cantina in Las Vegas
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is inviting Van Halen fans to celebrate the re-release of the band’s 1991 “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” album on Friday, July 12. Fans at the event will be among the first to purchase the limited-edition album, the third featuring Hagar as lead vocalist.
Hosted in partnership with Zia Records, the event will be held from 7 – 9 p.m., during which time fans will receive a special gift with their album purchase. “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge Expanded Edition” features a remastered version of the original album, plus previously unreleased audio and video footage from a live concert in Dallas on Dec. 4, 1991. The reissue will also include unreleased alternate versions of some songs.
The evening will be highlighted by music from the iconic band, and footage from the concert will play on HDTVs throughout the cantina. Fans can also enter a raffle for a chance to win limited-edition double-sided Van Halen posters, and one lucky winner will receive a copy of the album.
Hagar and Van Halen fans can fully rock out for the night with Cabo Wabo’s menu of coastal Mexican cuisine including Sammy’s Tequila Shrimp, the Nacho Platter and Cilantro Jalapeño Chicken. The bar will also serve rockstar-worthy cocktails made with Hagar’s spirits, including Santo Tequila and Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum. Cabo Wabo is open from 8–1 a.m. daily.
