The five-piece group leans heavily on percussive psychedelia and funk-infused jazz rhythms, favoring a unified group sound over individual member solos. Los Angeles’ own Glitch Mob, the electronic group consisting of trio edIT (Edward Ma), Boreta (Justin Boreta) and Ooah (Josh Mayer), will bring their industrial sound to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Sunday, May 27.

The group burst onto the L.A. electronic music scene more than a decade ago but began to build critical acclaim with the 2010 release of their first album, “Drink the Sea.” The digital outfit tours with what they refer to as “The Blade.” The custom set piece is as much functional as it is visual, allowing the band, according to Mayer, “play our music the way we want to play our music.” Glitch Mob’s live performances are as much an experience as anything else – fans should expect no less in what will be a perfect venue at Brooklyn Bowl.
