Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada KICKS OFF TRIPS FOR KIDS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA BY HOSTING JOURNEY 4 HEALTH BICYCLE TOUR Tuesday August 27
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada hosts the first stop on the Journey 4 Health Bicycle Tour on Tuesday, August 27th at the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse from 4:00pm-5:00pm. This coincides with the kick-off of Trips for Kids of Southern Nevada, a new program offering cycling day trips 6 times a year during the Spring and Fall for Club members.
The Trips for Kids of Southern Nevada is one of the newest programs developed to promote environmental awareness and education, build confidence in youth and develop practical skills in youth. In addition to the rides, classes will be offered for Club members to care for the environment, bike safety, maintenance and building positive self-esteem.
The Journey 4 Health 45 day, 3,381 mile health awareness, education, inspiration and engagement bicycle tour travels west to east departing Los Angeles, California Friday, August 23 concluding on Monday, October 7 (Child Health Day) in Long Island, New York. Their first stop is scheduled at the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse in Henderson. The goal of the tour is to improve the lives of people and the health of our communities by inspiring and creating awareness from the seat of a bicycle.
The Journey 4 Health Tour stop will be held at The Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse (2980 Robindale Rd.) Tuesday, August 27 from 4:00pm- 5:00pm.
