Boyd Gaming will bring highly acclaimed entertainment to The Orleans Hotel and Casino and Cannery Casino Hotel in September. Australian soft rock duo Air Supply, harmony rock group Little River Band and Filipino sensations 10Q Featuring Angeline Quinto and Budakhel will perform at The Orleans Showroom. Award-winning Thelma Houston: My Motown Memories & More with Special Guest Anita Ward and high-energy rock groups Great White and Riley’s L.A. Guns will perform at Cannery’s The Club.

Formed in 1975, Air Supply members Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock burst into the music scene with their unique vocals, harmonic ballads and soft rock sound. Early in their career, the duo performed throughout Australia, impressing fans with hit singles like “Love and Other Bruises.” Air Supply later gained international recognition as the opening act for Rod Stewart’s North American tour.

 

Air Supply’s popularity skyrocketed with the release of their album “Lost in Love,” which sold more than two million copies. The album included the hit songs “All Out of Love,” “Every Woman in the World” and “Lost in Love,” which topped music charts across the globe, including in Australia, the U.K. and the United States. The soft rock group went on to release 30 albums and more hit singles like “The One That You Love,” “Making Love Out of Nothing,” “Even the Nights Are Better,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Just as I Am” and more.

River Band has been winning over fans since they first formed in 1975 in Melbourne, Australia. Throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s, Little River Band has released several multi-platinum albums and chart-topping hits, including “Take it Easy on Me,” “Help Is on Its Way,” “Happy Anniversary” and “The Other Guy.”

 

Little River Band’s fame skyrocketed in both Australia and the United States as they sold approximately 35 million albums and music downloads worldwide. Budakhel

Considered one of the Philippines’ most famous R&B groups, Budakhel consists of Bugoy Drilon, Daryl Ong and Michael “Khel” Pangilian. Thelma Houston

 

A Mississippi native, Thelma Houston is a dedicated music creator and philanthropist who started out in the 1960s performing gospel music with the Art Reynolds Singers. In 1967, Houston signed to Capitol Records and had her first hit song with “Baby Mine.” Houston released her first solo album, “Sunshower,” on ABC Dunhill in 1969.

 

Houston later signed with Motown Records where she claimed the top of the pop, R&B and dance charts with her signature rendition of “Don’t Leave Me This Way.” This Gold Record classic gave Houston the distinction of being the first solo female artist at Motown to win the Grammy Award for “Best R&B Female Vocal Performance.”

 

Houston was honored by the 2022 City of Los Angeles African American Heritage Month Program as a Living Legend.

Anita Ward

 

Singer Anita Ward is most known for her 1979 disco single “Ring My Bell,” a number one pop hit in the U.S. and the U.K.

 

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Ward developed an interest in music, particularly gospel, at an early age. She went on to sing with the Rust College A’Cappella Choir and recorded an obscure album with her own gospel quartet.

 

Ward recorded and released her debut album, “Songs of Love,” in 1979 and the hit single “Ring My Bell” topped Billboard’s Hot 100 and remained on the chart for five months. Ward has since then continued to perform her music for audiences around the world.
