Fresca Fizz Cocktail to Aid Alzheimer’s Awareness
Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca, located at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, will participate in Keep Memory Alive’s “Month of Memories” fundraiser. Throughout the entire month of November, Bottiglia will donate $1 from each sale of their signature Fresca Fizz cocktail to support the cause.
In solidarity with Keep Memory Alive’s “Month of Memories,” which commemorates National Alzheimer’s Disease and Family Caregiver Awareness Month, Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca is committed to donating $1 for every Fresca Fizz cocktail sold throughout November. A tantalizing libation, the Fresca Fizz is made with the choice of Belvedere Vodka or Bombay Sapphire East gin, mixed with berries, mint and prosecco, priced at $17.
“Month of Memories” is a community-focused fundraiser that gives Nevadans the opportunity to shop, dine and support local businesses. The campaign shines a spotlight on the devastating disease affecting many of the Nevadans walking through the doors of Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and their dedicated caregivers, while raising funds to provide no-cost educational, therapeutic and support programming.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on the Silver State is on the rise, with an estimated 49,000 Nevadans aged 65 or older who currently live with Alzheimer’s disease. In addition, Nevada is home to the third-fastest aging population, with age being the greatest risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease; Nevada is a “neurology desert,” meaning by 2025, it will have fewer than 10 neurologists per 10,000 people with dementia, putting it among the bottom 40% of states nationwide.
