The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, the rock ‘n’ roll speakeasy hidden within The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, invites guests to slip on their dancin’ boots, blue jeans and cowboy hats for an unforgettable night out. “Faded Karaoke: Country Edition” offers guests the opportunity to dance and croon to their favorite country tunes starting at 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
Guests can take the stage backed by The Busker Kings, with a karaoke setlist brimming with popular country hits and long-time classics. As no country night is complete without a little two-step, a line dancing coach will join the fun and have guests boot-scootin’ all night long. The Barbershop’s wide menu of whiskey-focused libations will be also available throughout the evening. Signature options include the Black Beauty, a tart and bitter blend of Bulleit bourbon, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, honey and peychaud’s bitters; or the Oil & Ore, a smoky and complex affair made with Wild Turkey Longbranch whisky, Averna, Grand Marnier, smoked cherry wood orange bitters and angostura bitters, then smoked and served for a smooth sip, among others.
An opportunity for guests to live out their superstar dreams, “Faded Karaoke” features musicians Ben Carey, former lead guitarist for Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon and Savage Garden; Gigi Gonaway, drummer extraordinaire who has toured with Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson, among others; and Shawn Eiferman a 40-plus year music industry veteran who has shared the stage with the likes of Prince, Goo Goo Dolls and Guns n’ Roses, among others.
