BODIES…The Exhibition Joins Fight Against Breast Cancer And Encourages Visitors To Seek Preventive Care
Exhibition Hosts Nevada Health Centers’ Mammovan to Provide Mammogram Screenings Oct. 23
In a commitment to increase knowledge about early prevention and detection during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, BODIES…The Exhibition at Luxor Hotel and Casino is partnering with Nevada Health Centers on Wednesday, Oct. 23, to provide visitors access to mammogram screenings. From 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Nevada Health Centers’ certified medical staff will perform mammographies inside the Mammovan at Luxor’s Purple Lot.
The Mammovan, operated by Nevada Health Centers, provides mobile mammogram services to increase the number of people undergoing screenings. To schedule an appointment and qualify for a mammogram screening, patients may call 877-581-6266 and specify the Luxor location. Walk-in appointments will be available with open time slots permitting.
“Nevada Health Centers is excited to partner with BODIES…The Exhibition to host the Mammovan,” says Wendy Wood, Director of Operations for Nevada Health Centers and the Mammovan. “Their support allows us to carry out our mission in promoting early detection to save lives.”
To further encourage prevention awareness, BODIES…The Exhibition will offer complimentary audio tours to any guest who wears the color pink on Oct. 23. Throughout the month, breast cancer facts will be on display, highlighting the importance of seeking preventive care. The Exhibition will also commemorate the installation of its first ever female specimen by illuminating the reproductive room in pink lights. By providing powerful visuals, BODIES hopes to honor individuals who have battled breast cancer and motivate guests to create positive lifestyle changes that could help prevent the life-threatening disease.
