BMX Pro Ricardo Laguna joins Land Rover Las Vegas and ThinkFirst Nevada for 9th Annual After Christmas Helmet Giveaway

WHO:
Land Rover, ThinkFirst Nevada and professional BMX rider and television personality Ricardo Laguna

WHAT:
Land Rover, along with ThinkFirst Nevada and Ricardo Laguna, team up once again in an effort to educate young people about the importance of making safe decisions. Kids will have the chance to meet the BMX star and receive a free helmet from ThinkFirst Nevada. Additionally, Laguna and friends will put on a BMX demonstration for everyone and other entertainment, including a crew of breakdancers with Jay R Beatbox will keep the energy going throughout the event. The Spot to Eat food truck will also be on hand with food for purchase.

Kids must be present for helmet fitting and helmets are available while supplies last.

ABOUT RICARDO LAGUNA
Born and raised in La Paz, Mexico, Ricardo Laguna moved to Las Vegas when he was just 13 years old. Laguna first began to ride BMX as soon as he and his family found their new home in a trailer park in Las Vegas with a lot of dirt jumps nearby. He turned pro at the age of 18 and is crowned the “King of Dirt” and ranked the #1 Latin and South American Dirt Jumper in the world. Throughout his career Laguna has competed in the X-Games, The Dew Action Sports Tour, Gravity Games, Nokia Fise, BMX Masters, Lord of Dirt Competition and the World’s series. His career has led to a number of huge accomplishments including being the first Spanish-speaking announcer at the X-Games. Laguna has performed in shows world wide and has hosted his own challenge in Las Vegas for the past 10 years called “The Ricardo Laguna Pro-BMX Dirt Challenge” at the annual Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival. In March 2012, Laguna premiered The Ricardo Laguna Project, an MTV Tr3s reality series that offer a glimpse into the life of Laguna as he attempts to break three world records, begin his own family business and balance his family and Las Vegas social life. The show was recently picked up by MTV Latin America and aired this past summer.
