With Halloween Edition Faded Karaoke Costume Contest
Guests can register to perform early in the night for a
chance to win up to $3,000 in prizes
The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails, the rock ‘n’ roll speakeasy hidden within The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, will ramp up the spooky season with a Halloween Costume Contest Edition of its popular “Faded Karaoke,” with three winners receiving a cash prize. Registration starts at 8 p.m. and performances shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
For the contest, guests can don their best costumes and sign up for the competition with The Barbershop host stand between 8 and 11 p.m. Performances will start shortly after 11 p.m. when guests will take the stage individually and sing the song of their choice while backed by The Busker Kings. During their song, a panel of judges will evaluate contestants on their overall performance and costume to select the night’s top five. The audience will then choose the first, second and third-place winners, who will receive $3,000, $1,500 and $500 respectively.
An opportunity for guests to live out their rockstar dreams, “Faded Karaoke” features musicians Ben Carey, former lead guitarist for Lifehouse, Vertical Horizon and Savage Garden; Gigi Gonaway, drummer extraordinaire who has toured with Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson, among others; and Shawn Eiferman a 40-plus year music industry veteran who has shared the stage with the likes of Prince, Goo Goo Dolls and Guns n’ Roses, among others.
