New brand campaign invites everyone to be a part of the next, the new, the bold
On the eve of the football team’s first preseason practice, UNLV Athletics Thursday announced a new, department-wide branding campaign, “Be A Rebel.”
 
Featured as #BEaREBEL on social media, the campaign invites everyone to be a part of the next, the new, the bold – all of which help make up our city, our university and our athletic programs excellent. Las Vegas, the city itself, a home that differentiates UNLV from all other universities in the nation, will play an increasingly prominent role in the telling of our stories in innovative ways.
 
Fans will notice that the campaign is the first from UNLV Athletics to provide a consistent and unified look on all social media channels. Those same design elements will also be used throughout the department’s collateral. 
 
“Be A Rebel – three simple words that mean so much because we do things differently here,” said UNLV Director of Athletics Desiree Reed-Francois. “Diversity of thought and passion from our team paired with the nature of our city, our culture, and the direction we are headed inspired the campaign. Las Vegas is a place built by those not afraid to be Rebels and this campaign honors their legacy. Be A Rebel is a call to action to join our student-athletes, student body, staff, fans and entire campus community together in boldly writing our future.
