 “BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON” PARTNERS WITH VERIZON TO HOST EVENT FOR CANDLELIGHTERS CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION OF NEVADA

 

WHAT:
On Saturday, Jan. 27, “BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON,” the live robot-combat experience inspired by the popular TV series, partnered with Verizon to host more than 50 special guests, including middle and high school students from Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada and their families.

Before the show, attendees from Candlelighters enjoyed a hands-on STEM activity station with Nevada Robotics and a viewing area showcasing heavyweight BattleBots. The special guests also went on an exclusive fabrication tour showcasing how robots are made as well as learning about wheels, batteries and the 10 commandments of BattleBots

In addition, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada received a $7,500 donation while at “BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON.”

“BATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON” is the live experience inspired by the drama, action and destruction of the TV series, condensed into an intense, fast-moving, 75-minute theater show.
