BACK BAR USA AND AFFILIATE BRANDS TO BE EXCLUSIVE LIQUOR PARTNERS FOR SELECT AFAN BLACK & WHITE PARTY EVENTS
Back Bar USA, a wine, beer and spirits marketing and consulting firm based in Las Vegas, and its affiliated brands will serve as the exclusive liquor partners for select events that are a part of Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s (AFAN) 27th annual Black & White Party Weekend. AFAN, which helps those living with HIV and AIDS in Southern Nevada, is adding to the excitement this year by adding additional Black & White Party activities August 24-25 at Hard Rock Hotel. Back Bar is excited to serve as a partner for the main event and VIP party to be held at The Joint, and the post-party brunch at 35 Steaks + Martinis.
Back Bar USA and AFAN have a strong relationship. Tim Haughinberry, founder of Back Bar, is a former board member and proud supporter of AFAN for more than a decade. “Philanthropy is very important to Back Bar USA and Black & White Party is a perfect fit,” said Haughinberry. “It attracts a hip crowd that likes to have fun and enjoys our brands while helping a great cause.”
The following sponsors are confirmed: Ketel One Vodka, Bulleit Bourbon, Corona Beer, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Avion Tequila, Frangelico Liqueur, Chambord Liqueur, Southern Comfort, Bacardi Pineapple Fusion Rum, Corzo Tequila, Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, Maestro Dobel Tequila and Bud Light. All liquor sponsors will provide signature product drink tastes to partygoers and an enhanced cocktail selection to VIP guests.
Back Bar USA’s mixologists have also created signature cocktails using sponsor products. Among them, “Equality,” which features Ketel One Vodka, lemon, simple syrup and muddled raspberries. The cocktail is a vibrant red and topped with ginger soda for a pink foam. Black & White Party is closely tied to the LGBT community, and the cocktail’s colors match the Human Rights Commission “equal sign” symbol used to commemorate the recent Supreme Court decisions about gay rights. The cocktail offers a refreshing fruity taste with tartness from the raspberries and hint of spice from the ginger soda.
Another signature cocktail example is “Red Smash,” which uses Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon, cherry syrup, lemon juice and simple syrup. Bourbon is the star of this rich maroon cocktail. It has a hint of sweetness from the cherry and simple syrups that is complemented by tartness from the lemon juice.
Prices for Black & White Party range from $35 for the main event up to sponsorships of $25,000 and beyond. The brunch at 35 Steaks + Martinis costs $45 with unlimited mimosas or bloody Marys available for an additional $15. More information and ticket sales are available at www.afanlv.org.
